Although I liked creating my own author page, I realized it was going to be a time consumer when I found myself working into morning hours to complete designs. I thought it’d be easier than dealing with all the setup and database work with WordPress. Ha, ha. One problem I have is I am picky. Wanting everything perfect lengthens build time that takes time from other things. Then, when done, I start again because I don’t like something and fixing it requires revamping an entire page, which means revamping the style sheet and the database. I wasn’t going to use a database. I lied to myself.
I also considered that I wasn’t certain about keeping my web hosting service, Penguin Hosting. I’ve had Penguin since 2005, but I thought to fine another site like Wix, where I could make a website while letting others worry about the hosting bit. However, as I said, I’ve been with Penguin since 2005 and have had very few problems. If a problem happened, they were quick to respond and remedy the situation. It didn’t matter if part of the problem was me or them, they fixed it, and usually within a day. I had no clue what problems I might have with a another host. So I stayed, and here I am, back using WordPress again.
I hope those of you who have followed me through the wilderness of websites will find this site better arranged. I’ve minimized menu clicks, giving you an immediately visible menu of my works you can see without a bunch of extra clicks. Clicking an image does take you to another page, but that page shows a little more on the book and a link to get you to where you can purchase it on Kindle or read for free on Wattpad.com. No fuss. Any other page you might want to read are in the bottom footer–policies, about me, and and contact information.
So, please enjoy and let me know whatcha think.
